Prophetic Dreams

Laura Palmer and Agent Cooper share the same repeated dream. Cooper interprets the subject matter as clues to his waking life. The dream includes the poem "Through the darkness of future past the magician longs to see one chance out between two worlds 'Fire walk with me," and the song titled "Dance of the Dream Man", both of which become relevant to the storyline. (TP) Nearly every major character in Dark Shadows shares a persistent dream through a Dream Curse, the subject matter of which is interpreted as clues to their waking lives. The dream includes the poem, "Through sight and sound and faceless terror, Through endless corridors by trial and error, Ahead a blazing light doth burn, And one door leads to the point of return," and the song "Josette's Music Box", both of which become relevant to the storyline. The poem in Twin Peaks is more or less a rewording of the poem in Dark Shadows.
